Registering a .com vs .com.gh domain

When to pick .com

• You want a global audience, or you are not sure where your visitors will come from.
• Your brand has an international feel.

When to pick .com.gh

• Your business is focused on Ghana and you want that to be obvious in the URL.
• The .com version of your name is taken but the .com.gh is free.
• You want a small SEO boost for Google searches made inside Ghana.

What about .org, .net, .co, .info?

Use .org for non-profits and community projects. Use .net if .com is taken and you still want an international feel. .co reads as a short alternative to .com. .info is cheap but less trusted, so use it for secondary projects only.
