Quick Answer
Connect your Nakroteck mailbox to the email client of your choice using IMAP.
Once you have created the mailbox in cPanel or Plesk, you can read and send email from any app. We recommend IMAP because it keeps mail in sync across all your devices.
Server settings (use these in every app)
- Incoming (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.com, port 993, SSL/TLS.
- Outgoing (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com, port 465, SSL/TLS.
- Username: your full email address.
- Password: the mailbox password.
Outlook (Windows or Mac)
- Open Outlook. Go to File > Add Account.
- Type your email address, click Advanced, tick Let me set up my account manually.
- Pick IMAP and fill in the server settings above.
- Finish. Send a test email to yourself.
Gmail (in a browser)
- In Gmail, click the gear icon, then See all settings.
- Open the Accounts and Import tab.
- Under Check mail from other accounts, click Add a mail account. Use the IMAP settings above.
- To send as the new address, also add it under Send mail as with the SMTP settings.
Apple Mail (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
- Open Settings, then Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Other.
- Choose Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name, email, and password.
- Pick IMAP. Fill in the incoming and outgoing server as above.
- Save. Apple Mail fetches your inbox.
