Quick Answer
Two ways to get your website files onto your Nakroteck hosting: the browser-based File Manager or a free FTP app.
If you already built your site and just need to put the files on the server, pick whichever option is easier for you.
Option 1: File Manager (in the browser)
- Log in to cPanel or Plesk from the client area.
- Open File Manager.
- Navigate to public_html (cPanel) or httpdocs (Plesk).
- Click Upload, pick your files or a zip, and wait for the upload bar.
- If you uploaded a zip, right-click it in File Manager and choose Extract.
Option 2: FTP with FileZilla
FileZilla is free. Download it from filezilla-project.org. Then:
- Open FileZilla.
- Put your hosting hostname (like ftp.yourdomain.com) in the Host field.
- Enter your FTP username and password. You will find them in the welcome email we sent, or inside the client area under the service.
- Set Port to 21 for FTP or 22 for SFTP. SFTP is more secure.
- Click Quickconnect.
- In the right pane, open public_html or httpdocs. Drag your local files into it.
Where does the homepage live
Your homepage file should be called index.html or index.php and sit at the top of public_html. If it is inside a subfolder, your site will not load at the root domain.
